Mirlo collaborates with Moot Madrid 2026 by hosting international arbitration hearings
Mirlo took part as a partner entity in the 2026 edition of Moot Madrid, one of the leading international commercial arbitration competitions for law students from the Ibero-American region, hosting several rounds of hearings at its offices.
Moot Madrid is an international competition organised by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), which brings together each year students and professionals from numerous countries to debate and resolve a practical case in international commercial arbitration.
As part of its commitment to promoting arbitration and legal education, MIRLO acted as a partner entity in the 2026 edition, making its premises at Claudio Coello 33 available to the organisation for several of the oral rounds of the competition.
The hearings held at our offices featured teams from Universidad del Atlántico Medio (UNAM), Universidad Carlos III (undergraduate division), Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (Chile), who argued their positions before arbitral tribunals composed of practitioners from the sector.
These sessions provided participants with direct exposure to the professional practice of international arbitration and created a space for academic and legal exchange between students, arbitrators and specialised lawyers.
MIRLO would like to thank the Moot Madrid organisation and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid for the trust placed in our firm, and reiterates our commitment to initiatives that contribute to the dissemination and strengthening of arbitration as a dispute resolution mechanism in the international arena.
